Teaching aims:

   Knowledge  aim:

   1.Enable the students to listen, read, speak, write the new words: puppet, car, bus and so on.

   2.Enable the students to listen, read, speak the new pattern: What’s this/that in English?

It’s a … Do you like…?Yes, I do./No, I don,t.

   Ability aim:

   The students can use the new pattern to ask the other’s bobbies.

   Emotion aim:

   Encourage the students can use the new knowledge to take care or understand the others.

Teaching points:

   The students can read the new words and pattern correctly.

   Enable the students to communicate with the others and take care the others.

Teaching difficulty:

   The students can use the new pattern and ask the others’ hobbies correctly.

Teaching prepare:

   CAI and some pictures.

Teaching steps:

   Step1 Warm up.

   1.What’s your name? Nice to meet you. How are you?...

   2.What’s this/that on your desk? May I have a …?

   3.Do you like skating/swimming/playing basketball?

     Yes, I do./No, I don’t.  Oh, me too.

   Step2 Presentation.

   1. Boys and girls, do you like toys?

     Me, too. And I have some toys here. Let’s look.

   2. CAI shows a puppet. Can you tell me what’s this?

     If you don’t know you can say it in Chinese.

     Do you want to know what’s this in English? It’s a puppet.

   3. What’s this in English? It’s a car.

     What’s that in English? It’s a bus.

     What’s that in English? It’s a bike.

   4. What are they in English? Is it a bike? Oh, no. They are bikes.

     Do you like bikes? Yes, I do./ No, I don’t.

     Do you like cars/buses? Who can spell “buses”?

   5. Do you like puzzles? “puzzle”, do you understand? Read and spell.

   6. Look what’s this in English? It’s a balloon.

     Liu Tao and Mike are talking about balloons. Can you read?

     Show a short passage then try to act.

   7. Mike doesn’t like balloons, he likes puzzles.

     And I don’t like balloon, too. I like kites. Learn the new word “kite”.

   8. A guessing game.

     I have a box here. There a toy in the box. Guess, what’s this in English?

     Let’s look. Oh, it’s a doll, read and spell.

   Step 3  Consolidation.

    1. Show eight pictures of the new words.

      I have some pictures here. What are they in English? Read together first.

      Now try to guess what’s this in English?

      Let a student act a little teacher and play this game.

2. Today we have learned…and everybody did well done.

  CAI shows eight pictures.

  Please work in pairs and try to use the new pattern.

   Step 4  Exercise.

     Listen and tick.

     Open your books at page30. Let’s listen to the part A and do some exercise.

   Step 5  Homework.
